Bengal Peace Centre from the beginning is working on different aspects to bring peace and harmony in the society. We selected some programmes like cultural activism, get together and ‘know your India’. Rakhsha Bandhan in Peace Centre became popular in Bhatpara and adjoining area in last three years. We are following the path of Rabindranath.

Festival of Raksha Bandhan
On 18 August, 2024, we celebrated Raksha Bandhan which means unification despite all odds. We uphold the spirit of solidarity. This adverse times. Our students and teachers participated in this event in order to uphold the ethos of brotherhood and sisterhood. These students fought against all difficulties. They want to be self - sufficient through stitching, tailoring and computer education. We take our pledge to continue our activities. Your support and love is needed. All our teachers like Farzana Tabassum, Shabana Khatoon, Kajal Rajak stood us in good stead. It was a wonderful occasion of mirth and fun.
Everyone is committed to become a better citizen.
In a stroke of strategic genius, Rabindranath Tagore bound the spirit of Raksha Bandhan to mount a symbolic resistance against the British divisive policy of Bengal Partition. It was the year of 1905. Drawing upon the concepts of fraternity, harmony, Tagore envisioned an image of communal synchronization. He converted a familial festival to a large content of ‘idea of India’.
